Club Treasurer - Melanie Weston
Melanie also came into triathlon from a running background, joining the Club in 2017 as very much a novice swimmer and occasional cyclist.  Since then she has completed a number of Sprint distance triathons, continued to develop her cycling and running (completing her first Marathon in 2021), and now even enjoys open water swimming!  Melanie is also a BTF qualified Community Activator.

Head Coach - Sara Mela
Sara has always had an unstoppable love of the sea, will run if chased, and started triathlon almost by accident when she was tricked into her first road bike race by a colleague in 2016.  A year later, she enjoyed competing at the Age Group World Championships in her home town of Rotterdam - gotta love a flat course!  Although very much still a recreational swimmer and cyclist, Sara now enjoys racing vicariously through other TTW club members.  As a coach you can mostly find her pool-side, but Sara supports her L2 BTF qualification with certification as a bike fitter, and is happy to talk further to athletes about this aspect of their triathlon performance.

Communications & Publicity - Paul Weston
Paul is responsible for the Club's communications and publicity, including managing the website and social media channels.  Paul started his triathlon journey with Tri Team Wessex in 2016, coming into the sport from a cycling and running background - but definitely not a swimmer!  Since then he's competed in lots of sprint distance events, moving up to middle distance in 2022.  Paul is also a BTF qualified Community Activator.
Paul can be contacted directly through publicity.ttw@gmail.com

Club Development - Richard Ferre
Richard has been a member of the Club since 2013 but  he started his triathlon ‘career’ on his 40th birthday racing in Koh Phang Ngan, Thailand.  Since then Richard has raced at all distances including representing GB at Age Group World and European Championships in both Sprint and Standard distance.  More recently he completed the full Outlaw in 2021 with no immediate plans to ‘go long’ again!  Richard is also a BTF Level 2 qualified coach and regularly coaches with the Club.
